Youth Climate Competition
We are offering young people in Swale the opportunity to plan and pitch a project with a budget of £500 to our councillors.
Have you got an idea for an environmental project in Swale? We are offering young people in Swale the opportunity to plan and pitch a project with a budget of £500 to our councillors. The winning project will be implemented in Swale with support from council officers.
Students must propose a project to improve the environment or raise awareness of the climate and ecological emergency in their local community.
£500 to spend | Groups of 4-6 | Year 7-11
Projects must consider:
- How the project improves the environment or encourages other people to help the environment
- What the benefits are to the local community
- The budget - how will you spend £500?
- A plan to deliver the project
- Where materials and resources will come from - are they sustainable?
- How might you market the project or campaign
Projects can be as creative as the team would like, and can include multiple medias e.g. presentation slides, word doc, video, photos etc.
Entries must be submitted online by 5PM, 15th September
The successful projects will be required to deliver a 10 minute presentation on Thursday 29th September, 4PM in the Swale House Council Chamber to a panel of councillors.
